When neighbors in Price Hill, Ohio, noticed a pair of dogs hanging out on a porch, they were immediately concerned. One of the dogs was a tripod, and they were both incredibly skinny and sad. They started posting pictures on Facebook, begging someone to come and help. Meanwhile, Sampson and Boss sat and waited.
Rescue Me Animal Advocacy saw the posts about the dog brothers on Facebook, and their hearts broke. The pups were in an area they don’t normally rescue from, but they decided to make an exception and went and got them right away.
“We took them to the vet immediately and have been boarding them ever since,” Kim Bush, president of Rescue Me Animal Advocacy, told The Dodo. “They look so much better now, so much healthier, but, unfortunately, we cannot find them a home.”
Sampson and Boss have been living together at a boarding facility since November, and no one has shown any interest in adopting them. They’re both so sweet and full of life, and so deserving of finding their forever home.
“We continue to pay for boarding, and everyone at the boarding facility loves them and takes good care of them, but it’s not the same as a home,” Bush said.
Sampson and Boss would do well being adopted together, but they don’t have to be, as long as there are no additional pets in the home either way. Boss is high energy and would love an active family. Sampson, the sweet tripod, would love someone he can cuddle up on the couch with. They both just want love, and they’ve been waiting so long to find it.
From the moment the brothers arrived at the boarding facility, their lives have been worlds better than when they were waiting on that porch.
“I can’t imagine the relief they felt to be warm, comfortable and fed,” Bush said.
Unfortunately, though, nothing can compare to having a loving forever family.
These dog brothers came from such a rough beginning, and now they just want their happy ending.
